We found a direct flight between Frankfurt, Germany to Mauritius on Condor Airlines. Even though it was direct, the flight still took 11 hours. Mauritius is above the Tropic of Capricorn in the Southern Hemisphere, and about 1200 miles east of the continent of Africa (or about 500 miles east of the larger island nation of Madagascar). Time Zone difference (from Germany it is 2 hours ahead, from the East Coast of the US, it is 8 hours ahead).
