Next to tulips, windmills have to be the most iconic thing about Holland. Originally used to help pump water off the land, many of these old style windmills are still standing today in use and mainly as tourist attractions. The Keukenhof Gardens have this very nice windmill on the edge of the gardens next to the very large tulip fields.
