This Is Why Autumn Is My Favorite Time to Visit Germany

Autumn is a beautiful time in Germany! The change in color is amazing with the leaves blending in perfectly with the architecture of the German timber buildings. There are hundreds of vineyards where we live, and all of the grape leaves have changed into this golden yellow color.

These pictures were taken by Amanda’s Mom, Sheila on visits to Rothenberg and Heidelberg in the last week of October. The colors in these towns by themselves are beautiful.  But, then paint the picture of gold and reds in the background, and it makes for a truly mesmerizing effect.

In a few weeks, all of the German towns will begin decorating for their “Christmas Markets” (Weihnachtsmarkt), which is truly the grand season in Germany.
